About Belecart
Belecart is an independent project by Henry Beleck exploring e-commerce, digital marketing and the technology behind online growth.
Henry created Belecart as a place to document ideas, tools and practical observations about building and improving online businesses.
The name combines Beleck and cart, a reference to the shopping cart and everything that happens before and after a customer reaches it.
The project looks at the complete digital commerce journey: acquisition, experience, conversion, retention, automation.
Belecart is not positioned as a traditional marketing agency. It is a personal professional platform focused on understanding, testing and documenting how modern online businesses work.
Practical notes on what happens between acquiring a visitor and turning that visitor into a customer.

How the journal works
There are five articles, one for each topic the project covers. They are written from working with stores rather than from a publishing schedule, which is why there are five of them and not fifty.
The writing avoids two things on purpose. It does not present tactics as guaranteed outcomes, because the same change produces different results on different stores. And it does not cite numbers that cannot be checked.
Where an article describes a method, it describes the reasoning behind it, so the method can be adapted rather than copied.
